This trial was performed,
with the purpose to minimize NOx emissions and keeping CO emissions
below a certain level.
MultiSimplex® was used for
the DOE.
The graph below, showing the
membership which represents the joint response of NOx and CO
emissions, shows the improvement in burner performance.
Further down, you can see
the result in NOx and CO emissions.
The trial was performed by
adjusting the mixture and flow of air and flue gas reflux at the
burner inlet.
