System Optimization II 3 days

Background:

Being able to continuously, and faster than the competitors, introduce new technology and optimally utilize existing technology, is ever more often what decides which companies are going to survive the increasing global competition. To develop and make use of a methodology for optimal utilization of existing and introduction of new technology is therefore a central part in all commercially successful operation. This course shows how the activities of an enterprise can be divided into manageable subsystems and how each subsystem can be individually optimized without compromising the overarching goal of increasing enterprise profit.

Target group:

Staff in leading positions, responsible for enterprise operations.

Aim:

Make maximal utilization of industrial enterprises possible, through clarification of a methodology for specification and operation of enterprise optimization projects.

Content:

Day 1

How can enterprise activities be divided into manageable subsystems: Sales, Planning, Process, etc.

How does a successful optimization methodology look like: Measure-Control-Optimize. Describing Flowcharts, etc.

Day 2

Which are the different phases during the optimization project: Goal setting-Current situation analysis-Specification-Organization-Operation-Evaluation.

What type of information can be used: Info from the chain Raw material-Service.

Day 3

Which type of problems must be handled and how are they handled: Staff, Data bases, Data valuation, Parameter choices, Software installation, Evaluation, etc.

How is a project specification written: Methodology, Exemplification.
